TAMPA, FL (December 11, 2013) –As Wheels of Success celebrated it’s tenth year getting working families in the Bay Area get back on the road, it was faced with the closure of its long-time headquarters at the Family Justice Center earlier this year. With the support of the community, and amazing local partners, Wheels of Success is celebrating the grand opening of its new office by providing a car to a working family every day for twelve days before Christmas Eve Day.

Getting to work, caring for your family, or accomplishing simple tasks like laundry and food shopping can become logistical nightmares without a dependable vehicle. Wheels of Success has been helping families get back on the road for a decade, and the organization is preparing to help 25 families overcome this obstacle at its 8th annual Labor Day event at the Tampa Convention Center, August 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

As the organization prepares for its largest annual distribution of vehicles, the 8th Annual Working Wheels Keep Families Working Labor Day event on August 17, the usually happy occasion has turned sad as Wheels of Success prepares for the closure of its main office just two days before event.

To help raise funds to meet the transportation needs of Tampa Bay's lower income working families, Wheels of Success is kicking off its 55 Save Lives fundraising and awareness campaign. The campaign will culminate in the 6th Annual "Working Wheels Keep Families Working" Labor Day event to be held Monday, September 5, from 9 am - noon at the Tampa Convention Center, in conjunction with Turner Exposition's Florida's Largest Home Show.

(Dec. 8, 2009) – For Tammy Payne and her family it was becoming increasingly difficult for her to get to her job on time at University Community Hospital and, without a vehicle, rely on public transportation and also be able to get her children to and from school, not to mention run errands like grocery shopping. All that changed on Tuesday.
