A family of five, with children 13, 11 and 9 were kicked out of the home they shared with relatives. To keep from sleeping in their van, they moved to a small motel room, where someone reported them to the Department of Children and Families and the children were removed. Now, one year later, they are being reunited with the help of Joshua House; the final stipulation that they have reliable transportation, which theirs is not.
That's where Wheels of Success stepped in after receiving their application from Joshua House. Wheels was able to provide a car for the family within less than two weeks, since the father can drive stick shift and one was available (because most of our applicants cannot drive a standard transmission).
The funding to "Build-A-Car" was provided by GTE Financial, a Wheels partner.
