Returning from the war in Iraq, Jamela found it hard to adjust to civilian life in the USA without a car. She struggled to get to work, eat healthy and stay connected to her family. On the verge of homelessness, she was referred to Wheels of Success by another veteran recipient.
The dependable Mercury Sable Jamela received completely changed her life. She was able to get a new, higher-paying job, shop for groceries and reconnect with her family and church. Her car even helped her get through a difficult pregnancy, making it possible for her to keep her job while attend more than a dozen doctors appointments. She can now spend all of the time she saves on travel with her new baby.
