As an employee of MacDonald Training Center, it was hard for Britani to be at work early in the morning and then get to school in the evenings. Even though she was only a 20 minute drive from MacDonald, it took her two busses and over an hour to get there each day. After another bus to school, Britani often had to walk several miles home because services ended before she could reach her destination.
Britani received a "new to her" car through Wheels of Success on Labor Day last year, thanks to the support of Publix Super Market Charities. She soon felt "spoiled" by the freedom she now has in her reliable Toyota Corolla. Now she can get to work and school quickly, and dry during our wet Florida summers. Even picking-up a week's worth of groceries is a joy now that she doesn't have to worry about getting to the store. Her new found freedom also made it possible for her to volunteer in her church's Tampa Bay Bucs fundraising program.
Britani, we are happy that you can "Siege the day" (as the Bucs would say) in your new wheels!
