Why Wheels of Success
“Working wheels keep families working” is much more than just our motto. Our unique nonprofit organization changes clients’ lives by providing them with reliable transportation to get to work, run necessary errands, take their family to school and doctor appointments or do the many other things that keep them on the road to success.

Our Clients
All of our clients share a common need: they need reliable transportation to return to work or keep their full time job. Whether they are single parents, military veterans, women experiencing domestic abuse, youth aging out of foster care or employees of our partners we can help change their lives, one key and four wheels at a time, because sometimes the key to success is simply a key.

Our Partners
As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the generous support of our donors, sponsors and partners to provide reliable transportation that has benefited more than 1,300 recipients to date in our community. We invite you to join us in making a real difference in someone’s life as we provide a hand up, not a handout.

Waiting for Wheels
Though I.C. never thought "it" could happen to her, things started to unravel. I.C.’s husband discovered that he had a debilitating disease that insurance did not cover. The condition kept him, the major breadwinner, from work so their income was drastically reduced. The family used their charge cars and home equity to pay for medical care, their regular bills and their personal needs. It didn’t take long for things to begin spinning out of control. I.C.’s house was foreclosed on, and her family placed their belongings in storage. When they couldn’t afford to pay the monthly fee, the storage company foreclosed on the unit and auctioned off all of their belongings. Ultimately, I.C. lost her house, her belongings, and her marriage. Alone, she and her three children were relying on family members and public transportation to get them around. Though I.C. lost everything, she hasn’t lost hope. Her employer referred I.C. to Wheels to help find a transportation solution to fit her needs.
SB escaped an abusive relationship where she lost everything, but without good transportation she has been having a hard time standing on her own. As a single mother of four and Army veteran, SB is trying to move forward with her goals towards maintaining her independence. Her employer recognizes her reliability and good work ethic but SB can only keep it up with a “new to her” vehicle.
UPDATE: Jonathan, Tiffany and their two children have been riding into the future since Labor Day 2015. Tiffany suffered a service related disability while in the Army between 2006-07. Back home, she used public transportation where possible to attend college full-time but mainly the couple shared a non-stock “project car” with Michael as he commuted to his full-time job performing apartment facilities maintenance and manage their family responsibilities. In addition to being unreliable, the “project car” did not have the safety features the parents wanted for their six- and one-year old children; as a family of four living on one income of less than $30,000 annually, they could not afford to find something adequate. Thanks to State Farm, Michael and Tiffany drove their 2012 Toyota Camry with just over 40,000 miles home from our 10th Annual Working Wheels Keep Families Working Labor Day Event on September 4th, 2015.
